With excellent affordable food and friendly and efficient service, La Piazza is a little gem hidden away in Caldas da Rainha.
Located on the same square as the also excellent (albeit expensive) Sabores de Italia it is quite easy to find and there is ample parking in the square's underground car park.
There is a wide variety of Pizza and Pasta dishes and we have yet to be disappointed despite having visited on many occasions and tried most of the items on the menu. The fresh salads are also excellent and are perfect for a hot day.
The main dishes are plentiful but if you do have room for a dessert then both the chocolate mousse and the tiramisu are both homemade and are to die for.
A meal for 2 with garlic bread to start, two main courses, wine and dessert would usually work out at less than 30 Euros leaving you plenty left to enjoy the remainder of your Portugal Holiday!
The premises are small and the place is very popular at both lunch and dinner so make sure you get there early to avoid having to wait for a table.
