The 27th of September this year is the 205th anniversary of the battle of Buçaco and there are a number of events planned to mark this important date in Portuguese History.

Starting from the 29th August there will be a series of lectures, mini re-enactments and guided walks over the battlefield. On the 26th and 27th September there will be the main event, a large night time re-enactment. Although not very historically accurate (the real battle was fought during the day) it's sure to be very atmospheric.
