It's that time of year again! The Annual Medieval Fayre at Obidos is entering it's final stages and as always it has been a fantastic event. If you haven't yet been make sure you get there for this final weekend!
There is the usual mix of knights, whelps, wenches and horses with plenty of excellent beer and food.
Here is Kevin's take on this years Fyre!
"A visit to this year’s Medieval Fayre at Óbidos provides a feast for the senses as well as the stomach – snake charmers, sensual dancers, fire-eaters and jugglers entertain whilst visitors pack out the benches around the many stalls offering succulent food straight off the fire. Groups of troubadours have the crowds cheering with their performances on traditional instruments whilst birds of prey swoop on offerings held by their handlers.
The Fayre is one of those ‘must-do’ events and we are privileged in this region to be so near to the magnificent setting which draws visitors from all over Europe.
This weekend is the final one for the Fayre so, if you can, treat yourself to a journey back in time and feast your eyes on all that Óbidos at its best has to offer."
