Situated 15 minutes drive from the centre of Caldas da Rainha (along the Alcobaca road, turn right at the traffic lights in Tornada and head up into the hills following signs for Guisado) this restaurant packs out early so don't leave it too late to get a table. The service is prompt and the decor traditional and rustic. Be warned - the portions are large! Be guided by the staff on how much to order. It is handy if you can come to an agreement between yourselves to share the dishes for the best value. Don't despair if you can't manage dessert as your meal ends with complimentary plum brandy and home-made biscuits. A memorable meal!
